My mother-in-law lived to over 100. In that time and as her needs changed, she was in several different facilities. The best by far was Aegis Greenwood; it was OUR favorite, and it was HER favorite. We all appreciated the kindness and attention she received. She was not an easy patient to deal with, but the staff were endlessly patient and understanding. We were kept informed, but they were able to deal with any difficulties that arose. It was obvious that the staff genuinely enjoyed working with her and were fond of her. When she had her 100th birthday, they had a days-long celebration including decorations, a crown, a banner, etc. When we hosted the family party there, the staff showed up with balloons and a helium tank, etc. Her final days there were in hospice, and they were so loving to her, coming in and holding her hand, and supportive of us. I can’t imagine a better group of people to work with.
